Martin Luther King Jr. (Michael King Jr.1929 – 1968) was an American minister and activist. Martin Luther King Jr. was an African-American church leader and son of the early civil rights activist as well as minister Martin Luther King Sr. He was the most viable spokesman and leader during the Civil Rights Movement in the mid-1950s. He was later assassinated in 1968.
